Reverse Lunge

After the Walking Lunge is mastered we move on to Reverse Lunges. I prefer stepping backwards vs. forwards because it keeps the main leg working the entire time.

Specifics
1. Use a platform to increase the range of motion. 4-8 inches high works best.
2. Don't take a huge step back. Get the back knee to land within 6 inches of the platform.
3. Back knee should almost touch the floor
4. Keep the front heel down. Below is a close up of how NOT to place your foot:
